How Do I Pray When I Have No Words?
Scripture treats wordless prayer as valid prayer — Romans 8:26 describes the Spirit interceding 'with groanings which can't be uttered' — and written prayers, a single repeated phrase, or simply sitting in silence are all traditional ways to pray without composing your own words.
You are allowed to borrow words
The Psalms exist partly as prayers to pray when you cannot find your own words — anger, exhaustion, and gratitude are all already written out for you.
A single phrase is enough
Short, repeated prayers ('Lord, have mercy'; 'Help me') have a long history in Christian practice and are not considered lesser than longer, more articulate prayer.
